There are two separate tenders are issued by SAIL through Bhilai & Salem for procuring Silico Manganese of different grades.

SAIL intends to procure Silico Manganese for its Bhilai, Bokaro, Durgapur, IISCO Plant in a single tender.

Salem steel plant intends to procure Medium Carbon Silico Manganese (MC Si Mn) through the process of online Reverse Auction.
Eligibility
- Tenderer shall be a manufacturer of Medium Carbon Silico Manganese, with documentary evidence
- Tenderer should have experience of supplying 900 MT of Medium Carbon Silico Manganese to any Indian Industry in a single or multiple lots during FY11-FY14
- Average annual turnover of tenderer during last three years should not be less than INR 77.5 million
