India’s govt. owned mill- SAIL has announced a steep hike in its flat steel prices today. The company raised HRC prices by INR 1,500/t ($20) and CRC prices by INR 2,500/t ($34), SteelMint learned from credible sources. The revised price of HRC stands at INR 51,500-52,000/t and CRC at INR 60,100/t for CRC (exy-Mumbai). Supply constraints and a spurt in consumer demand resulted in a sharp hike in prices.
