India: SAIL extends Tender for Imported Coking Coal

SAIL has issued corrigendum for import of 500,000 MT Hard Coking Coal through global tender. The company has extended the due date for the 2^nd time.

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has extended bid submission due date from 11 Aug, 2014 to 22 Aug, 2014 for the 2^nd time (Global Tender No: SAIL/CIG/HCC/2014-15/I Dated: Jul 10, 2014).

The company is looking for more offers/bids from overseas Coal mines/suppliers for its global tender to purchase freshly mined prime quality washed/unwashed Hard Coking Coal.

Supplier should be an established overseas Coal producer owning, managing & controlling Coal mines and producing washed/unwashed Hard Coking Coal.

 General Conditions

• Tenderers have to give all details such as Coal producer/mines/location/nature of operation/mines capacity
• They have to submit average annual production and export detail of last three years

Total Quantity: 500,000 MT +/- 10% 

Specifications

• Ash (dry basis): 8 % max
• Volatile matter: 20-32%
• Total moisture (as received basis): 8.0 % max
• Size : 0–50 mm
