SAIL conducted an auction today for 14,500 t (60 kg) of full-length commercial rails from the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh. Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 36,600/t exw. At the previous SAIL-BSP rails auction held on 25 Nov, buyers booked 8,000 t (60 kg) rails at a weighted average price of INR 37,100/t exw, as per SteelMint reports.
