State-run KIOCL had floated an export tender for 55,000 t of pellets (Fe 63% with 2-2.1% Al content) on 2 Dec’21. The deal was heard concluded at around $125/t FOB. The company’s previous export deal, concluded towards mid-Nov, fetched bids at around $150/t on FOB basis. KIOCL operates a 3.5 mn t/year pellet plant in Mangalore, Karnataka.
