Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) put up 80,000 t of iron ore tailings (Fe 56%-indicative) for auction from Barsua mines in Odisha. SteelMint heard from sources that the steelmaker received bids for the entire material at INR 1,475/t (ex-mines, including royalty, DMF, NMET, and extra premium). On 20 Aug, SAIL concluded an auction for Fe 58% tailings fines from these mines.
