Resurgere Mines and Minerals India, a Mumbai-based firm which extracts Iron ore and sells to small sponge iron makers in Rourkela district, expects to sign at least 4 Iron ore leasing deals in Maharashtra in 4 months.
Subhash Sharma, CMD and CEO, Resurgere, said the deals will raise the company’s reserve base by 100 million tonnes to 215 million tonnes.
The company is setting up a 1.2 million tonnes beneficiation and Pellet plant in Maharashtra, worth Rs 388 crore which will be raised through GDRs (Global Depository Receipts).
Mr. Sharma also said, “We are targeting to produce 4.25 million tonnes of Iron ore and will sell 3.75 million tonnes at least.”
