India, which has been exporting met coke since Jan’21, recorded nil exports in Jul’22. Also, there were no cargoes exported in Aug’22 (till date) due to sluggish steel demand globally. Besides this, higher coking coal prices and cheaper Chinese offers weighed on coke exports from the country in July and August.
