- India has received a vessel containing 26,000 t of Russian pig iron recently, which was booked by a eastern India-based integrated steel plant in Aug’22.
- The vessel named Dato Fortune reached Paradip Port in the third week of Sep’22.
- Indian pig iron prices were on the higher side in Aug’22 due to curtailed production which may have resulted in bulk import bookings, SteelMint notes.
