India: Rebar production rises by 14%, m-o-m, in Nov’21

Rebar production by Indian mills stood at 2.86 mn t in Nov’21, an increase of 14% compared to 2.50 mn t a month ago, according to Joint Plant Committee (JPC) data. On an annualised basis, production volumes jumped 6% against 2.69 mn t in Nov’20.

• JSPL, JSW and the Tata Steel reported an increase in production by 22%, 5% and 13% respectively, on a monthly basis.
• RINL and SAIL, however, reported a decline of 7% and 8%, respectively, in Nov.
