India, Chhattisgarh-based Real Ispat & Power Ltd (GK TMT) has slashed rebar price by INR 1,000/t on 18 May’21. Current offers for 10-25 mm rebar stand at INR 50,000/t, ex-works. As other major re-bar producers have reduced prices, due to lack of demand and plunging billet prices, a significant drop in GK TMT’s re-bar offer was in the offing, SteelMint learnt from sources.
