Prakash Industries Ltd (PIL) – one of the major steel producers in Central India has achieved iron ore production of 0.47 mn t from its Odisha mines in FY’21, according to data maintained with SteelMint. In Jun’20 it announced the commencement of mining operations in the Sirkagutu Iron and Manganese ore mine located in Keonjhar (Odisha). The said Iron ore mine has geological reserves of around 9.9 mn t.
