SteelMint’s benchmark sponge iron (P-DRI) prices fell today by INR 400/t to INR 32,000/t ($435) exw. The major buyers were holding fresh bookings on floated offers by Raipur plants, however, a few trades were heard from outside plants.
- Raipur based plants have floated P-DRI offers at INR 32,400-600/t exw, however deals from outside were heard to be around INR 32,000/t FoR Raipur.
- Sponge C-DRI (70:30 mix) offers from Odisha were reported at INR 32,700-32,900/t FoR Raipur, while a couple of plants in Raipur offered the same at INR 33,600-800/t exw.
- Sponge DR CLO grade offers were floated at INR 34,700-34,800/t exw, however no confirmed deals were reported.
