A leading producer based in Odisha’s Jharsuguda has reported about 1,500 t of steel grade pig iron deals at around INR 36,500/t exw against 3,000 t of deals yesterday at INR 36,200/t exw. Prices rose slightly by INR 300/t as against yesterday’s deals. Rising billet prices has raised the demand for pig iron.
Durgapur-based producers have raised offers to INR 37,700-800/t from INR 37,500/t exw.
