India: Over 95% remains unsold in NMDC Chhattisgarh’s iron ore auction

NMDC Chhattisgarh auctioned 111,500 t of iron ore from its Bacheli mines on 12 Jun’25; over 95% was left unsold.

• 4,000-t Baila-sized lumps (10-20 mm, Fe 65.5%) sold at base price INR 6,500/t; 21,500-t DRCLO (10-40 mm, Fe 67%) and 86,000-t fines (Fe 64%) received no bids. Prices were on FOR basis, inclusive of royalty, DMF, and NMET.
• Meanwhile, DRCLO and sized lumps fetched 2.4% and 3.2% premiums, respectively, in the last auction.
