India: Over 3,000 t of sponge iron sold in Raipur, Chhattisgarh

SteelMint’s price assessment of sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) decreased by INR 100/t to INR 31,000/t exw-Raipur.
About 3,100 t of deals for FeM 80% P-DRI were reported at a price range of INR 30,800-31,000/t on exw and DAP Raipur basis.
Amid a slight price fluctuation, spot demand of sponge iron remains subdued, while softening raw material prices indicate a further fall in sponge offers. This has kept bulk buyers away from taking positions, sources informed SteelMint.
