OMC’s ferro chrome auction yesterday saw limited interest, with just 300 t sold of the 6,900 t offered. This included 250 t of the high-carbon grade (Cr: 60-64%, 10-100 mm) at INR 99,000/t exw ($1,155/t) and 50 t (Cr: 55-60%, 10-25 mm) at INR 90,750/t exw ($1,059/t), both at the base price. Market sentiment remains cautious amid the weak response in the recent auctions from OMC and Vedanta-FACOR.
