SteelMint’s assesment for sponge C-DRI (FeM 80%, mix material) rose by INR 50/t to INR 30,700/t exw-Rourkela on 16 Sep’21. Around 4,210 t of deals were confirmed at INR 30,500-30,800/t exw against offers at INR 30,800/t exw. A deal for 1,000 t (FeM 80%) was concluded to Mandi Gobindgarh at INR 30,700/t exw, with freight charge at around INR 3,500/t. Sponge prices remained strong due to sufficient orders.
