Odisha’s largest merchant miners namely Rungta Mines & Essel Mining have maintained Iron ore prices for rest of September,2014.
Both the miners had last raised their offers after Indian government notified increased royalty rates of 53 minerals in Government of India gazette notification, dated 01 Sept, 2014.

Critical situation of Iron ore availability in Jharkhand: District Mining Office (DMO), Chaibasa had issued a closure notice to Jharkhand based mines running under 2nd or 3rd subsequent deemed renewal. Thus, Rungta Mines (Jharkhand) has raised its fines prices by INR 200/MT to INR 3,500/MT (loaded into wagons & including royalty).
