Indian Ferro-chrome producers went through a difficult time during the lockdown due to shutting down of production, meanwhile, the situation for the miners remained no different, as logistics remained highly disrupted and the dispatches suffered, making the dispatches in Apr 2020 the lowest in three years. However, now the situation is getting back to normalcy.
Major Buyers: IMFA, Visa Steel and FACOR were the three manufacturing units to procure the highest amount of Chrome ore in May. Although the logistics issues were comparatively better than last month, the dispatches were yet on the lower side due to the down-trending market.
Major Sellers: Misirlal Mines, OMC and Tata Steel remained the largest sellers for May. Misrilal mines mostly used the production for their captive requirements.
