NTPC has announced an auction for the sale of the decommissioned Talcher Thermal Plant in Odisha, comprising units 1 to 4 with a capacity of 60MW each, and units 5 and 6 with a capacity of 110MW each. The auction is set to take place on 1 March, 2024, in Angul, Odisha. The plant ceased operations on 31 March, 2021, due to safety and environmental compliance issues.
