India: NTECL invites Bid for Procurement of 3.25 MnT Imported Coal

NTECL has invited sealed bid from eligible bidders for purchase of 3.25 MnT imported coal for its Vallur Thermal Power Project in Chennai.

NTPC Tamilnadu Energy Company Limited (NTECL), a joint venture of NTPC & TANGEDCO, has invited bid for purchase of imported Steam coal on CIF/High Sea Sales basis and delivery at Kamarajar port (Ennore), Tamil Nadu.

Supplier’s scope of the work shall include arranging vessels, stevedoring & handling at the load port, port clearances, all other activities for clearing and forwarding of the consignments.

General Conditions

  • Bidders should have an experience of export/import and supply of any dry bulk (solid) commodities such as coal, Iron ore, fertilizers, chemicals, cement etc of origin other than Indian, for a minimum quantity of 1.5 MnT in any continuous 12 months in last 3 fiscal years, reckoned from technical bid opening date of this tender
  • Bidders should have average annual turnover of not less than INR 5.62 billion in past 3 fiscal years from technical bid opening date of this tender

Company will arrange stevedoring/unloading of coal at Kamarajar port (discharge port).

Interested bidders can submit their bids (Technical & Price) before 14.30 hrs IST on 05 Feb, 2015. Whereas, technical bid will be open on the same day at 15.00 hrs IST.

Note: The company had invited its last tender for procurement of 0.8 MnT imported coal in Aug’14.
