Punjab-based buyers are not placing bids for billets from Jharkhand. SteelMint assessed that at prevailing offers in Jharkhand, the landed cost at Mandi in Punjab would be around INR 45,000-45,200/t on advance payment basis, while current offers through the local suppliers in Mandi are at INR 44,700/t on FOR basis.
About 1,500 t of billet deals were concluded at around INR 42,600/t exw-Ramgarh for nearby regions.
