National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), India’s largest and state owned Iron ore miner, has supplied 29 rakes to Chhattisgarh based Sponge plants and 104 rakes to other miners in the month of Apr’15 (till 17 Apr’15). In Mar’15, the miner had supplied total 299 rakes to Chhattisgarh based and other miners. Each rake carries approximately 3,900 MT.

NMDC’s Karnataka E-auction
Till 15 Apr’15, NMDC sold 0.9 MnT Iron ore via Karnataka e-auction. Out of the total sold material, 0.5 MnT was fines and 0.4 MnT was lump.

NMDC cuts Iron Ore Prices for Apr’15
NMDC has reduced its prices by upto INR 500/MT for Apr’15 owing to declining global Iron ore prices, which plunged to 10-year low. Current offers for South African imported lump (Fe 65%) are around USD 64-66/MT, CNF Krishnapatnam Port for May/June deliveries.
