India: NMDC (Chhattisgarh) iron ore rake movement up in Dec’20

NMDC has supplied a total of 433 rakes (1.67 mn t) of iron ore from its Chhattisgarh mines in the month of Dec’20, as against 418 rakes (1.61 mn t) a month before, according to railway movement data maintained with SteelMint.

NMDC’s iron ore rake movement from its Chhattisgarh mines to state-based steel units has moved up 6% to 82 rakes (0.32 mn t) in Dec’20 compared to 77 rakes (0.30 mn t) a month ago, as per railway movement data maintained with SteelMint.

NMDC’s supplies to outside state-based units up 10% in Dec’20:

The procurement by outside C.G based units picked for the month in Dec’20 to 297 rakes (about 1.14 mn t), against 271 rakes a month ago.

RINL’s total iron ore procurement stood at 159 rakes for the month as against 144 rakes a month ago.

JSW Steel, Dolvi’s procurement from NMDC picked up sharply to 67 rakes as compared to 48 rakes in Nov’20.

Movement for exports decreased by 23% to 54 rakes in Dec’20 against 70 rakes in Nov’20.
