Melting scrap prices headed south across regional markets on 11 Apr’22. Prices fell by around INR 1,400/t, especially in the north Indian markets following lack of demand for semi-finished steel. However, other markets also saw a correction in prices in the range of INR 400-800/t. Prices in the near term could see slight downward correction, as per sources.
