Melting scrap prices rose by INR 1,200/t d-o-d on 2 Mar’22, especially in the central India-based Raipur market following healthy trades in semi-finished (billet) steel and finished products. However, other markets also saw prices edging higher on account of higher coal and iron ore prices as well as the continuous rise in global scrap prices. The near-term price outlook remains positive, trader sources shared with SteelMint.
