Melting scrap prices rose by INR 300/t in Alang, Gujarat on 29 Mar’22. HMS (80:20) prices are at INR 47,800/t exy, as per SteelMint assessment. However, the market saw limited buying enquiries for scrap by the IF mills in Bhavnagar. Fluctuating prices of semi-finished steel yesterday resulted in a marginal rise in offers by the suppliers.
