Melting scrap suppliers in Gujarat’s Alang market increased prices today by INR 300/t to INR 36,900/t exw for HMS (80:20) grade, despite slow trading activity in the semis and finished steel segments in yesterday’s trading session. However, scrap suppliers in Alang witnessed limited trades and buying enquiries even on low offers yesterday, which prompted the increase in offers today.
