Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market rose by INR 100/t d-o-d on 24 Apr’25, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 34,600/t ($404/t) exy. Trade activities in semi-finished and finished steel increased in the late hours of yesterday’s trading session in the region. Additionally, decent buying inquiries for scrap prompted suppliers to increase their offers today.
