Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market rose by INR 100/t d-o-d on 18 Jul’25, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) stood at INR 31,700/t ($368/t) exy. Trade activities in semi-finished and finished steel improved in yesterday’s trading session in the region. Additionally, decent buying inquiries for scrap prompted suppliers to increase their offers today.
