Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang remain stable d-o-d on 2 Apr’22. HMS (80:20) prices are at INR 48,500/t exy. Limited buying enquiries were observed yesterday at high prices amid the slowdown in semi-finished steel prices during the second half. However, demand for re-rolling plates remained moderate over the last few days and suppliers held offers higher compared with melting and attachment scrap.
