Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, opened at similar prices to those of yesterday on 25 Feb’22. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 42,800/t, while attachment scrap prices are at INR 43,800/t exy. Scrap suppliers are preferring to keep prices stable except in few sizes which increased, as high prices could affect buying enquiries. Therefore, traders are willing to work at same price levels.
