Melting scrap prices witnessed minor fluctuations across markets on 17 Aug’21. Prices fell by around INR 300/t in Punjab due to a price correction in the semi-finished steel segment. In contrast, scrap prices remained supported in Maharashtra following an ascent in raw steel prices. Prices in the near term are expected to remain rangebound, market participants informed SteelMint.
