Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market rose by INR 500/t today. Heavy melting scrap (HMS 80:20) price is assessed at INR 37,400/t, while attachment price stands at INR 38,400/t. Improved market sentiments and active transactions in semi-finished steel in the spot market resulted in increase in scrap offers.
