Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, increased by INR 500/t d-o-d, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,500/t exy. Stable semi-finished steel prices across the region along with limited trading activity during yesterday’s session encouraged scrap buyers to procure material actively, resulting in suppliers increasing their offers today.
