Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, increased by INR 300/t d-o-d. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 48,500/t exy. Prices of semi-finished steel remained rangebound in the last trading session. Moderate trading was seen for scrap and shortage of material in Alang resulted in suppliers quoting offers higher, SteelMint learnt from sources.
