Shipbreaking melting scrap prices increased by INR 200/t d-o-d in Gujarat’s Alang on 6 Oct’22, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 42,300/t exy. Prices for semi-finished steel improved but limited trades were seen in the last trading session which, along with moderate buying enquiries for scrap, prompted suppliers to raise prices.
