Melting scrap prices in Alang decreased by INR 800/t today and INR 1,400/t in the last two days, as per reports. The correction in semi-finished steel prices yesterday resulted in declining bids today. Prices fell by INR 800/t despite tight availability. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 39,000/t and attachment scrap prices stand at INR 40,000/t, SteelMint learnt from sources.
