Melting scrap prices moved down on a d-o-d basis in key regional markets on 11 Feb’22. Lack of demand for finished steel followed by a fall in semi-finished prices ultimately put pressure on scrap prices. Meanwhile, in a few other markets, prices remained unchanged. It is likely that scrap prices will follow the trend of semi-finished steel prices, sources said.
