Melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, dropped INR 300/t d-o-d. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,500/t, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 41,500/t exy. Decline in prices of semis and finished long steel on weak buying enquiries and transactions in the spot market yesterday prompted suppliers to reduce scrap offers today.
