Melting scrap prices in Alang fell by INR 500/t today. HMS (80:20) prices are at INR 38,500/t exw, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 39,500/t exw. Semi-finished steel prices fell on slow trading activity yesterday and the lack of transactions in finished steel products in the spot market led to the decline in scrap offers today, SteelMint notes.
