Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 300/t d-o-d on 25 May’24. As per BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices are INR 38,300/t ex-yard. Need-based trade activity was observed in the semi-finished and finished steel markets in the region during yesterday’s trading session. This, along with slow trade activities in scrap, prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
