Domestic melting scrap prices in western region fell by INR 300/t d-o-d owing to uncertainty in loading charges in Alang (Gujarat) and slowdown in trade activity. In other regions also, limited transaction and buying inquiries have been noticed because of which prices either remained stable or fluctuated by INR 200/t. Current trade price for HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 24,600/t Jalna, INR 23,500/t Chennai (DAP).
