Domestic melting scrap prices, in most of the major consuming markets, observed a slight downfall by INR 100-300/t d-o-d, owing to weak demand and limited buying inquiries in finished steel (rebar). However on a weekly comparison, scrap prices improved by INR 200-500/t except a few regions. Current trade price for HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 24,000-24,200/t Jalna, INR 22,800-23,000/t Chennai (DAP).
