Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market declined by INR 800/t d-o-d except in few sizes of plates, as per SteelMint assessment. Low demand and the lack of buying enquiries led to a decline in the prices of semis even as dull trading in finished steel was witnessed during the last trading session. Thus, scrap suppliers slashed offers in the spot market on weak sentiment.
