Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 500/t d-o-d on 10 Oct’24, according to BigMint’s assessment, with HMS (80:20) at INR 34,500/t ($411/t) exy. Semi-finished steel prices fell by around INR 400/t in the region during yesterday’s trading session due to limited demand. Additionally, average levels of scrap trade prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
