Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market fell by INR 500/t d-o-d on 12 Sep’24, according to BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices stood at INR 33,500/t ($399/t) exy. Dull demand for semi-finished and finished steel, along with limited scrap trade, led suppliers to lower offers today. Additionally, significant bid-offer price disparities were observed in major markets.
