Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market fell by INR 500/t d-o-d on 11 Mar’26, according to BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices stood at INR 34,500/t ($375/t) exy. Market sources stated that trading activity in semi-finished and finished steel slowed during the latter half of yesterday’s session. In addition, only moderate buying interest for scrap from local mills led suppliers to reduce their offers today.
