Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 200/t d-o-d on 14 Feb’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) stood at INR 32,800/t ($378/t) ex-yard. Trade activity for semi-finished and finished steel remained average during yesterday’s session. Furthermore, moderate buying interest for scrap from Bhavnagar-based IF steel mills prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
